A FINE 28-BORE PERCUSSION DOUBLE-RIFLE, no visible serial number,
Bohemian, circa 1840, with etched damascus 26 1/2in. rifled barrels, one barrel with straight rifling, one with twist rifling, contrasting etched damascus flat top-rib chisel-engraved at the rib-end with a wolf mask and signed in twin interlocking banners 'J. CERVIAC, NOSADL', scroll engraved complex shaped long top-tang featuring a further engraving of a hunter carrying a stag on his shoulder, irregular shaped dipped tail back-action locks with scroll and hunting scene engraving, fully carved and engraved hammers, moulded walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, raised tear-drop cheek-piece, large iron patch-box with complex hinge and engraved with a scene of hunters with their dog and prey, engraved heel-plate with game-scene engraved top-spur, complex trigger-guard with carved and moulded scrolled horn tang-cover, double trigger with set to front, turned etched damascus ramrod pipes and brass-tipped ebony ramrod, assistance horn pommel attached to underside of butt, button and wide iron swivels
